The experience

The Intimate Table is a private chef dinner for up to 8 guests in your home in Chicago: a custom five to six course tasting menu designed around your occasion, all shopping, on-site cooking, course pacing through the evening, and full kitchen cleanup. The chef’s service fee begins at $900 per dinner for up to 8 guests; your exact fee is quoted on your proposed menu and locked once you book.

Food is billed separately, at cost

Food and ingredients are not included in the service fee. Chef Nia sources everything fresh and passes the cost through with no markup — you pay exactly what your menu needs. A food estimate is shared with your proposed menu, before any deposit, and the final ingredient cost is confirmed with the final menu. There are no other fees.

Inquiries are not bookings

Submitting the inquiry form does not book a date and costs nothing. Chef Nia replies with a proposed menu, normally within 48 hours. Your date is only held once you approve the menu direction and pay the deposit.

Deposit and balance

A deposit of 50% of your quoted fee holds your date. The remaining balance, plus the ingredient cost, is collected three to five days before the dinner, when the final menu and arrival time are confirmed.

Rescheduling and cancellation

You may reschedule with at least 72 hours notice and your deposit moves to the new date. Cancellations inside 72 hours forfeit the deposit — by that point the shopping and preparation for your dinner are already in motion. If Chef Nia must cancel for any reason, your deposit is refunded in full.

Your kitchen and your guests

Dinners are cooked in ordinary home kitchens. You agree to provide access to a working kitchen and to share any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance — the menu is built from those notes, and Chef Nia cannot be responsible for reactions to restrictions that were not disclosed.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date below changes with them. The terms in effect when you pay your deposit are the ones that apply to your dinner.
